Our Commitment

Youth Glow is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by equipping communities—especially women and youth—with the skills, tools, and opportunities needed to build sustainable incomes and financial independence.

Why It Matters

In many rural areas of Liberia, limited access to jobs, markets, and finance forces families into survival mode, leaving little room for growth. Empowering people with livelihoods not only improves income but also boosts confidence, resilience, and community development.

Our Approach

We use peer education and peer-led models to ensure knowledge and resources are shared effectively within communities. This creates a culture of self-reliance and collective progress.

Our Interventions Include:

• Vocational Skills Training: Tailored programs in trades like carpentry, tailoring, and food processing.

• Small Business Development: Support with startup kits, market access, and mentorship.

• Village Savings & Loan Associations (VSLA): Community-based finance systems to increase savings, provide loans, and fund local projects.

• Eco-Enterprises: Beekeeping, snail farming, and improved cookstove production to combine income generation with environmental sustainability.

Our Impact (So Far):

• 325+ women and youth trained in income-generating skills.

• 25+ livelihood starter kits distributed.

• Established VSLAs in multiple communities with strong repayment and savings rates.
