Overview
The Health Program empowers rural communities, especially women and youth, to improve access to quality health services, promote preventive care, and strengthen community health resilience. By combining training, awareness campaigns, and community-led initiatives, the program addresses key health challenges and supports healthier, more resilient families.
Program Goals
Increase access to preventive, maternal, child, and community health services.
Promote health awareness, hygiene, and nutrition among rural communities.
Build the capacity of peer leaders to lead health initiatives.
Strengthen community-led health monitoring and advocacy for better local and national health systems.
Program Activities
Health Awareness and Education:
Train peer leaders to conduct workshops on nutrition, hygiene, maternal and child health, and disease prevention.Community Health Services:
Support local health initiatives, including vaccination campaigns, mobile health clinics, and health screenings.Capacity Building for Peer Leaders:
Equip youth and women peer leaders with practical knowledge in health promotion, first aid, and preventive care practices.Community-Led Monitoring:
Enable communities to collect and use health data to track outcomes, identify gaps, and improve service delivery.Advocacy and Policy Engagement:
Amplify community voices to influence health policies, resource allocation, and strengthen local health systems.
